Fallout keeps audiences on the edge of their seats while still pulling at their heartstrings.
In the series, a young woman named Lucy (Ella Purnell) has spent her life living underground in a vault, but she’s forced to explore Earth’s surface for the first time after her father is kidnapped.
Two hundred years prior, the planet was destroyed by a barrage of nuclear bombs, with a small fraction of society surviving underground. These “vault dwellers” believe that life no longer exists on the surface. But Lucy quickly discovers that humanity still inhabits Earth’s mostly barren surface and lives in an untamed, Wild West-style society controlled by violence, thievery and bartering.
Fallout doesn’t take the standard dramatic approach to a post-apocalyptic storyline and instead is action-packed and features humor and wit. In addition to Purnell, the cast includes Walton Goggins who plays The Ghoul, Kyle MacLachlan as Lucy’s father and Hannah Montana alum Moises Arias as her brother.
Luckily for fans, a third season is officially on the way. In the meantime, viewers can watch other similar shows before returning to the Wasteland. From video game adaptations like Twisted Metal and The Last of Us to classic sagas like The Walking Dead and Westworld, there is a variety to choose from.
