- Ciara Miller is breaking her silence after her *Summer House *costars Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirmed their rumored romance.
- "It's one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors," Miller said in an interview with *Glamour*. "To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10."
- The reveal created ripples throughout the *Summer House *fandom and cast due to Wilson's very public breakup with Miller, who has been close friends with Batula for years.
Ciara Miller is speaking her piece in the aftermath of her *Summer House* costars Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirming their rumored romance.
After weeks of silence, the reality star spoke out in a *Glamour* cover story published Friday, in which she reflected on the "major mindf---" that was experiencing the reveal in real-time as *Summer House's* current season 10 was still airing.
"It's one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors," Miller told the outlet. "To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It's a major mindf---."
Fans have been clamoring to hear what Miller has to say since Wilson and Batula revealed their relationship amid online speculation with a joint statement on March 31. Calling the new element of their relationship "still very new," the pair wrote that "given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it."

"We've shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, longstanding friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care," they wrote. "As our feelings evolved, we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling. We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless."
The reveal created ripples throughout the *Summer House *fandom and cast due to Wilson's very public breakup with Miller, who has been close friends with Batula for years. Although their brief dalliance following Wilson's addition to the cast in 2023 ended on less-than-friendly terms, the pair have maintained a will-they-or-won't-they vibe ever since.
The show's latest season featured multiple cast members wondering if Miller and Wilson were getting back together, with the latter being notably disturbed when approached by costar Jesse Solomon about possibly kissing Miller if given the chance. At one point in the season, Wilson even referred to Miller as "the love of my life."
Wilson was also close with costar Kyle Cooke, to whom Batula had been married for four years before they announced their split in January.
As Miller told *Glamour, *she "definitely" felt closest with Batula between the pair, "because West and I were working" on their relationship. "Because we are exes, sometimes you spin the block; sometimes you land in situations where you guys are out," she said. "I feel like there's room to do that if that's your ex."
"I felt like we were trying to move in a more positive direction since we hadn't spoken to each other in two years. I felt like we were actually starting to be friends again," the model and nurse added of her relationship with West at the time. "And we had had a lot of conversations about, 'Okay, what do I need from you? What do you need from me? What are some of the boundaries that we want to keep in place? What's going to make our friendship a lot easier?' One of those [boundaries] was no more sleeping with people on Bravo. Obviously, now that's out the window."
But their friendship, she noted, was "genuine," which is why she believes it was all the more hurtful "when everything kind of went south [following our breakup], and why I needed to take time after."

It is perhaps that fracture that made Miller feel less betrayed by Wilson. She told *Glamour*: "At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy. Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you just can’t put anything past a man."
Batula is a different story. Miller explained that Batula "felt like a very calm spirit initially" and "someone that I always felt comfortable talking to," which made their bond seem seamless. "She always felt like a nonjudgmental figure to go to," Miller added.
"I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has been what has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long," Miller said of her shock after learning of Batula and Wilson's relationship. "I think that's the craziest part."

Ciara Miller says 'you ought to get married' if you 'steal' your best friend's ex amid Amanda, West drama

It doesn't help that Wilson and Batula vehemently denied the rumors before their joint statement was posted. During a recent appearance on Bravo's *Watch What Happens Live*, Wilson stated that he and Batula were just friends and added, "If it's not clear, that's a very important person to me, and I, like, care about her a lot."
Batula further denied the rumors, writing, "THANK YOUUUUUUU," when responding to a fan who commented, "West is a safe boy bestie for Amanda because they'd never date. He's so much fun, he cares about his friends and they have mutual friends to hang out with all the time."
The behavior of the *Summer House *cast notably shifted, however, after *Page Six* reported that Batula and Miller were "feuding" after the latter allegedly received confirmation last week of the long-rumored hookup. Although neither star commented on the allegations, fans noted that despite the duo being scheduled to do an Amazon livestream together, they wound up doing the event separately instead.

Much of *Summer House'*s current season showcased Miller and Batula's close bond as the latter's marriage to Cooke fell apart. Batula even gushed about Miller coming to her aid after she and Cooke announced their split a little more than a month before online speculation about her relationship with Wilson began.
"[Miller] is one of the kindest, most loving, loyal friends I've ever had. She sends me texts out of the blue, reminding me how strong, powerful, smart, and kind I am — I don't think she even realizes how much I need those texts," Batula said in an interview with *Marie Claire*. "It's also meant so much to me how supportive West has been throughout the season, sometimes in ways I wasn't even aware of when filming. It's not performative; it's just really authentic to who West is."
That's an element that especially sticks to Miller now. When reminded of how she stuck up for Batula throughout the season, she lamented: "I've fought with your own husband to advocate for you. I have championed you. I have tried to be there in different ways for you and help you and get you to see your value in yourself."
"And so to be disregarded in such a disrespectful way is.... Honestly, it's.... I'm at a loss for words sometimes," she admitted.

Miller's last conversation with Batula was "minimal," she shared, and she got a heads-up about her and Wilson's Instagram statement "less than 24 hours" before it was posted online. "I read it with the rest of the world," she added. "There's something about the lack of being able to say each other's names in the statement that I found very telling, but I don't know."
As the filming date for *Summer House's* season 10 reunion draws nearer, Miller told *Glamour *that she's "just trying to make it" to that date at this point.
"Every day changes," the nurse said. "It's like a weird flow of what you thought the past couple of years of your life looked like, and what you thought relationships were versus what they actually are. It's tricky. One of my friends was like, 'You're going to shed a lot of friends] in your 30s, but that's to gain more clarity.' And damn, she was right."
As it stands, Miller said she's ready to move on from the maelstrom that lives in the aftermath of the relationship reveal.
"Just know when something's weird in your gut, there's a reason," she declared. "What's done in the dark always comes to light. And sometimes you really don't even have to do anything except sit back and let the universe handle it all."
